The soul is a spiral, always revolving and expanding, a constant revolution within. ~ Caroline Morrison
I’m Caroline and I’m so happy that your search landed you here! I assume you want to know about me and Soul Arts Wellness Studio.
First I’d just like to share a few thoughts. I consider myself to be a multi-dimensional energy practitioner at a time when many of us are embracing our true energetic nature. I truly believe that this is not the same world we were all born into. We are experiencing monumental changes within ourselves as our vibrational structures are being recalibrated in a fast changing world. The most important thing we can do for ourselves and the world is to focus on eliminating the beliefs and patterns that keep us rooted in the past.
It’s too late to turn back now. We are far from shore, deep in the waters of transformation!
I’m so grateful that I was drawn to this leading-edge knowledge on which I base my work. I can’t imagine how my life would have turned out without it. Even though I’ve had my share of tough times, there have been a multitude of blessings. And the most exciting and inspiring of all is that the future has infinite possibilities of BIG MAGIC as we all integrate this knowledge.
The Early Years
I grew up in a small town in rural Maine. My home life was definitely troubled. I don’t need to go into details, but I certainly had blessings too. In retrospect, I’m grateful that the atmosphere at home forced me out of the house and into nature. I would go to the woods or the river to escape the tension and to connect to a deeper place. I didn’t know what I was connecting to at the time, but I knew that it felt good.
Look deep into nature and then you will understand everything better. ~ Albert Einstein
This is also when I developed a strong connection to animals. I took my dog with me everywhere. Her name was Pooch. My dad rescued her from a terrible life, and she in turn rescued me. She became my best friend.
We spent hours in the woods and down by the river, picking wild flowers, basking in the sun and daydreaming. This is when I started reshaping my life through my imagination, to dream a new reality. I literally spent hours dreaming about the future and what I desired.
I had a vision of my spirit guides at that time and they are still present with me today.
Pooch passed away when I was a freshman in high school. I still have her picture in my wallet! I’ll be forever grateful to Pooch and the many other animals that gave me unconditional love and offered their support during my entire life.
To wonder at an animal is to begin to understand God. ~ Unknown
The Teenage Years
I continued to explore my spiritual nature testing several different religions, reading, listening and absorbing. Although I didn’t settle upon any one religion for more than a couple of years, I was fortunate to experience long glimpses of inner trust, contentment and connection. It often seemed like magic. I moved in and out of that place of magic for many years, but once I experienced those feelings, I always knew it was possible to experience them again and that became my touchstone of optimism for the years to come.
The next stop was college where I started my journey in health and wellness, majoring in health education. This is also where I learned that life can be REALLY fun!
Later
I landed in corporate America for over the next 20 years. I had a wonderful career in commercial real estate banking. I had stints in lending, but the majority of time was spent on the credit side, establishing real estate valuation and environmental departments for 2 regional banks. I managed professional teams, implementing policies, procedures and guidelines in response to commercial real estate regulatory requirements.
Late in my corporate years and well into my studies in health and wellness, I personally experienced fairly severe health issues. My mother had been sick for several years, I was enrolled in a master of science in Human Nutrition program and I was managing a department with 12 employees.
My symptoms included insomnia, adrenal exhaustion, tremors, poor digestion, aching joints, and a compromised immune system. I was physically and emotionally exhausted and couldn’t believe this was happening to me. I kept my imbalance secret from most people while I explored and tried many avenues to regain my health.
The modalities I tested were helpful, but fell short. There was no emphasis on the most important ingredient, our spiritual and energetic nature.
This journey lasted five years – until an Ayurvedic detoxification/rejuvenation program in 2006 helped me turn the corner to balance. It was through this experience that I formed a deep understanding of my energetic nature and the connection between my mind, my emotions and the health of my physical body.
Becoming ill helped me gain my current understanding of the human condition and what is involved in attaining wholeness.
The Present
I officially opened Soul Arts Wellness Studio the summer of 2009. Becoming a spiritual entrepreneur has changed me in a profound way. I’m grateful for all of the lessons I’ve learned along the way and the emotional patterns that I have been able to release on this journey. If I had stayed in corporate America, I would not have been able to grow as much as I have by changing my entire life.
