Turquoise is Transformation
This blog is a little longer than the others because Turquoise is so special! I think you’ll enjoy it. Turquoise is one of my favorite colors and the fifth color on our journey through the visible, spectral rainbow. TURQUOISE is the transformation of Consciousness! Turquoise is the harmonizing color between the green of the heart chakra and the blue of the throat chakra. Therefore, it’s considered to be a color of transition.
How perfect when you consider that we are transitioning more and more into the waters of the Aquarian age. Below, I explore the relationship between Turquoise and the Aquarian age as it assists us in facing higher aspirations, toward the sky!
This color is Spiritual inspiration and motivation. Turquoise is fresh, young, vibrant, welcomes change and encourages us to jump into the UNKNOWN! The UNKNOWN is where creation and freshness exist. The UNKNOWN actually defines our human existence. Let’s begin to embrace it! And after all, the KNOWN has already happened!
As most of you know, I love quotes. Here are two that relate very well to the color Turquoise. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
“You can never discover the shores of a distant land if you don’t let go of where you are and sail towards an uncharted territory.” ~ Unknown
“Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.” ~ Helen Keller
I’m sure Helen Keller wasn’t aware that she was describing Turquoise to a tee!
Because of these qualities, Turquoise pushes us to transform and to be free. Turquoise inspires creativity through the arts and innovation in technology. In ancient Egypt, it was called the color of protection for the Soul.
Turquoise and the Chakras
Turquoise is associated with a minor chakra related to the thymus, a gland located between the heart and throat behind the breast bone. This area is referred to the HIGH HEART.
The thymus is connected to our lymphatic system and its primary job is to support out immune response by producing T-leukocytes. T-leukocytes fend off pathogens. Interestingly, the thymus is at its largest during adolescence and then atrophies over time! As a result, our immune system slacks as we get older. Western medicine doesn’t seem to know why the thymus shrinks over time. Hmmm, I wonder. As Turquoise is related to the thymus and the Transformation of Consciousness, maybe the shrinking of the thymus will reverse as the planet expands in Consciousness.
As an energy practitioner, I always like to remind everyone that everything is energy, including our physical body! A great procedure to keep the thymus more viable is to use the fingers on one hand, drawn together, to thump the area of the thymus every day with 10 to 12 strong thumps. And, of course, apply Turquoise to the thymus. It is sure to help!
Turquoise and the Aquarian Age
Turquoise has a strong relationship to the Aquarian Age. We’ve been in transition to the Aquarian Age from the Piscean Age for the last 50 years. Apparently, the Aquarian age literally started 11/11/11. I’m no expert on Astrology or the Zodiac, but this is worth mentioning.
Turquoise along with Magenta represent the new and refined energies of the Aquarian age. The Piscean age has been dominated by hierarchy and power. As this is unraveling, the Aquarian age will become more and more dominated by networks and information. The Aquarian age is the age of the group. Nothing is secret anymore. All information is available at our fingertips. Where the Piscean age was organized in a vertical, up and down structure of hierarchies, the Aquarian age is organized in a horizontal network, opening the world up to true equality.
I’m sure you can feel this happening in the world as we watch the old unravel and the new emerge. Turquoise is the color of this welcome change. This will eventually be the age of unconditional love, free of ego. A healthy higher heart will facilitate spiritual growth and deep inner transformation. Attempt to stay out of fear as the old energy continues to cling to inequality, hierarchy and power!
The Healing Power of Turquoise
No surprise, Turquoise is the color to use when we are feeling separate. Application of Turquoise can help dissolve the feeling of separation including old beliefs and stories that no longer serves us within the mind and body.
Turquoise is particularly great for the skin. It is a prime skin-building color and can be very helpful after the pain from burns is relieved. Turquoise is also helpful when our mind is overactive.
Turquoise in Nature
So, of course, we get Turquoise through sunlight, but Turquoise is not as prevalent in nature as most of the other colors mentioned in previous blogs. The best Turquoise on this planet is in the beautiful waters around the world, from a stunning lake in Mongolia to the Caribbean. Depending on where you live and the season, the sky will present Turquoise at its finest. Turquoise is also found in blue agate crystal and in Turquoise stones. I believe there are peacocks who adorn this amazing, special color.
These are just a few of the ways that nature provides Turquoise. Take notice and observe where nature is giving you Turquoise. You won’t be disappointed!
